Jen Stewart from CCSA has an upcoming trial for her alleged “disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice” in the arrest of Tyler Wright, a 15 year old skateboarder from Wilmington, OH. Jen is facing up to a $1,000 fine and is facing 3 months in jail. Tyler recently received the honor of “Student of the Month” from his local high school and was mentioned in the paper because of this honor. Check out the CCSA blog for more on these stories.
Jen also let me know that over Christmas break their skatepark received a $10,000 grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation. If you are interested in donating to CCSA click here. For more about Tyler’s arrest scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Evolution Skateshop in Kent was holding games of skate using soft trucks, you would know about this already if you followed me on twitter. It seems to be that the shop owner, Joe Kastelic (in the above video), was the only one who could skate them. The video is definitely worth the watch.

Anonymous Skateshop, UNHEARDOF, and The Rookwood are working on releasing this shirt to help out Haiti. Not only is this shirt sick but it is for a good cause, so either way you need to get one if you can. When they are available I will post a buy link so check back.

Lastly, Troy, OH is looking to refurbish their local skatepark into a skateplaza. Check out their site and get involved/donate.
