Maloof Money Cup on TV today

The Dew tour dropped Cleveland as a stop this year but the Alli people added the Maloof Money Cup as a tour of its own.
The Maloof Money Cup was last weekend but it is scheduled to air on TV today on NBC sports from 2-3pm.

This is the same contest I talked to Rob Dyrdek’s dad about. Also, keep in mind that it has a $100,000 pay out. If you don’t already know who won I won’t spoil it for you.

June 21st, 2009 was the 6th annual Go Skateboarding Day. This skateboarding holiday was created to urge skaters to put aside everything and take a day off to do nothing but skate and hang out. As skateboarding continues to grow, so does the holiday, as well as the number of people involved. Skate companies have begun to get involved over the years alongside skate shops, parks and organizations. Together, these groups have created contests, demos, fund raisers, park openings, etc. Skaters enjoy the chance to get out and skate and are overjoyed at a chance to be apart of an event that companies or teams they look up to, get involved with. Not only does this bring the skate community closer together, but the day also brings outsiders closer to our element. Parents and passer-bys get just as excited as the kids do when they see a pro fly through a park, or as someone makes an appearance to talk to and mingle with the skaters. How many skaters are out just impresses some people and they find themselves having to at least take a second look. This young holiday is growing to stand as a beacon for what the skateboarding community stands for, community. To find out more about this holiday click this link.
