Job Opportunity: AT&T’s On The Road With Paul Rodriguez

AT&T is offering an opportunity for skate filmers across the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 24 to help out with an original video featuring Paul Rodriguez. Aside from the fact that the person selected gets to go to L.A. and film with Paul Rodriguez, it is the details of the opportunity that make it exciting.

What immediately grabbed my attention about this opportunity is that it is a paid assignment. You are being paid on top of AT&T flying you out to L.A. for free, feeding you and providing you with all the equipment you need. This is a HUGE resume boost and a great foot in the door for the skate and media industries. If selected, you will also be given a Nokia Lumia 900 with a set amount of free service and some other assorted goodies. To sweeten the deal further, AT&T will be posting your video with Paul on AT&T’s U-Verse and Youtube, which will more than likely lead to the video making its rounds on the rest of the blogosphere.

I am regularly posting your video projects and getting e-mails and messages showing or telling me about what your next projects are going to be. And, I more than gladly post your videos to help broaden your exposure and would love to see one of you get ahold of this opportunity and make the absolute most of it. I have seen all of you put out great work just for the love so it is more than fair that you have a chance to get paid for it.

The criteria is fairly simple: AT&T is looking for someone who is hard-working and creative, which is something that comes with the territory of filming skateboarding. There is an application to fill out which asks for all of the basic general information, a couple essays and a link to a video you are most proud of. You have until April 22nd, 2012 to apply and you may be contacted for an interview.
